at the 28th Meeting of ASOD |
The
28th Meeting of the Senior Officials on
Drug Matters (ASOD), ACCORD Joint Task
Force Meeting as well as the Third ASEAN
Plus Three Senior Officials Meeting on
Transnational Crime (SOMTC+3) Working
Group Meeting on Narcotics which was hosted
by Standing Office on Drug Control (SODC)
of Vietnam. The Meetings were held from
21-24 August 2007 at Sheraton HaNoi, Vietnam.
At
the Meetings, observers from The Asia-Pacific
Non-Government Organization on Drug
and Substance Abuse Prevention (ASPAC-NGO)
represented by Mr.Sorasit Sangprasert,
Secretary-General; Dato Mustapha Ma,
Honorary Secretary of IFNGO; Ms.Kamilia
Ibrahim of PEMADAM, Malaysia; Prof.
Trinh Ngoc Trinh, Director of Highland
Education Development Organization (HEDO);
IPCO/INTERPOL represented by Mr.Wu Shiyin
and Mr.John Doyle representing UNODC
attended the Opening Ceremony and open
sessions of the Meetings.
On
this occasion some observers paid a
visit to Highland Education Development
Organization (HEDO).We were welcomed
by Prof. Trinh Ngoc Trinh who has been
serving as Executive Director for two
decades helping highland minorities.
